Do you have any unwanted records cluttering up your home?
Are you in charge of a music/video store that's
going out of business?
Are you with a radio station or library that's
looking to trim its collection?
Are you moving and need some more space?
Princeton Record Exchange has been buying music and movie collections
for over twenty years. We have established a solid reputation
as one of the leaders in the industry for buying Records, CDs,
DVDs, video games and other audio and video formats. We are also
an active member in the Better Business Bureau and adhere to their
standards of business practices. You can rest assured that you
will be treated professionally.
We purchase thousands of collections every year, and our years
of experience have taught us how to make selling your merchandise
as simple as possible.
To find out what we can pay for your LPs, DVDs and CDs:
- Call
us at 609-924-3472 to discuss your collection with an
appraiser. Please Note: while many LPs are of great interest to us, the vast majority of those in today's market have little to no monetary value. The fastest and easiest way of determining the general value of your collection is to call us.
- If our LP appraiser thinks your LPs may be of interest to us, feel free to bring
your Vinyl Records to our Princeton, NJ store between
10am and 5pm (11-5 Sundays), visit our custom driving directions to sell records to us and parking info.
- If you have already created a list or our LP appraiser thinks your LPs may be of interest to us, please describe your collection of Vinyl
Records online on our Sell Records Online Questionnaire page or email it to info@prex.com.
Please Note: We would love to evaluate your collection,
and will give you a free appraisal, but be aware that there are
many titles that we cannot use due to lack of demand, overstock,
or condition quality.
While we buy many CD and DVD collections through the mail, most
LP collections that we buy come from customers that live within
2-3 hours from Princeton, NJ. You are welcome to fill out our
sell records questionnaire or call us to discuss your collection,
but please be aware that most records do not have a high
enough value to make shipping worth while. It is generally
best to bring them to our Princeton, NJ store, but we do recommend
that you speak with one of our appraisers first, or see LP
genres of interest to us and LPs
we have little interest in to make sure we don't waste your
time.
Sell Records to Us:
To get top-prices when you sell records to us, the vinyl and
covers must be in excellent shape; there must be no scratches,
scuffs, mildew, mold, water damage, excessive dirt, or warping.
Please inspect your Records carefully and note any damage. We
are especially interested in modern jazz, bebop, older rock, pre-’75
R&B, punk, progressive rock, blues and 20th century/avante-garde
Records.
You may send us information regarding your vinyl records at our
Sell Records Questionnaire.
If you have a large collection of vinyl records (1000 or more
titles), please call us or make a list of a sampling of at least
100 to 200 titles. Since the purpose of this sampling is to get
a true feel for your collection, please do not handpick the best
titles or your favorite selections. We would prefer you to list
100 to 200 titles pulled randomly from 10 to 20 different areas
of the record collection. If they are stored alphabetically, please
list some titles from three different areas in your record collection
(example: musicians beginning with the letter "C", the
letter "M", and the letter "S"). Please include
your name, address and phone numbers in all emails and listings
that you send us, so that we can respond to you quickly regarding
your collection.

from one of our appraisers. We can not be held responsible for
any unauthorized merchandise shipped to us.
We will base our prices on the vinyl records being in near-mint

condition, then we will have to significantly reduce our offer.
Upon receipt of your merchandise, we will promptly issue you a
company check.
