Train Schedules
to Princeton, NJ from New York City
In
an effort to help the hundreds of music and movie lovers that
visit Princeton Record Exchange from New York City, we've composed
this page of train service information.
If
you're not visiting from New York City and
are having difficulty figuring out how to visit us by train,

Train
Service Information:
Trains generally run every half hour weekdays, and at least hourly on weekends and weeknights.
When
traveling by Train to/from Manhattan, New York City:
The total trip to Princeton Record Exchange,
including transfer, takes 90 minutes or less from Penn Station, Manhattan.
Both NJ Transit and Amtrak trains leave from Penn Station
(34th St. and 8th Ave) and arrive at Princeton Junction which
is within a few miles of Princeton Record Exchange.
From Princeton
Junction you have a few options to get to our store.
- You may take a smaller shuttle train (called "the
dinky") to Princeton's local train station. This shuttle
train meets the incoming trains from New York City and takes about 5
minutes.
- From the local Princeton station, take a 8
minute walk (see map and step by step directions below), or a short taxi ride (for around
$8) to our store.
- Alternatively,
you may take a taxi directly from Princeton Junction (for
around $15).
Amtrak
provides the fastest service to Princeton Junction, but because
their trains are infrequent and significantly more expensive,
we recommend using New Jersey Transit, Northeast Corridor Line.

run approximately every half hour on weekdays (more during
rush hours) and between every half hour and every hour

Step by step directions from Penn Station, Manhattan by train:
- Go to Penn Station (located on 7th Ave. and 33rd St.).
- Take the New Jersey Transit "Trenton Local" to
Princeton Junction.
- Switch to the New Jersey Transit shuttle train (Dinky) to
downtown Princeton.
- As you get off the train, walk to the right onto University
Place.
- At the end go right onto Nassau Street.
- Pass one light, and turn left onto S. Tulane St.
- Continue 1/2 block, and we're on the left just before the
parking lot.
- You have the option to take a taxi from either Princeton
Junction or Princeton train station, directly to our store.
Alternate Route: Train and Taxi
- Go to Penn Station (located on 7th Ave. and 33rd St.).
- Take the New Jersey Transit train "Trenton Local"
to Princeton Junction.
- Take a short cab ride from Princeton Junction to Princeton
Record Exchange
